Residence Permit |
Foreigners who meet certain requirements under the Law on Foreigners and International Protection may obtain a residency permit in Turkey.
The foreigner may apply for a residence permit in person or through a power of attorney/proxy through her/his lawyer acting as her/his legal representative in Turkey.
The governorships will issue residence permits after receiving Ministry approval.

Furthermore, if the main applicant meets the requirements, his or her spouse and children may apply for a family residence permit. It is valid for a maximum of two years. The main applicant (sponsor) must have lived in Turkey for at least one year on a residence permit, have medical insurance that covers all family members, and have a monthly income that is not less than the minimum wage in total, corresponding to at least one-third of the minimum wage for each family member.
